«Defragmentation» series
Collage on canvas | glossy magazines | glue | 80 x 100 cm

In each of these canvases, there are about eight hundred fragments from glossy magazines. This is the most painstaking work that I have ever done, requiring the most time. Each fragment has been searched for, cut out and glued into a very specific place. Dozens, hundreds of hours, months of detailed, subtle work. The process is just as important as the result. The filtration and purification stage of the work with the raw material is followed by a stage involving the construction and modeling of a new form, the resolution of an invisible puzzle in the hope that it will all come together. Each work in this series is a highly detailed documentation of several months of dutiful art practice.
